Currently our client is seeking talented Fitters who are seeking long term opportunities and consider themselves highly motivated.  These positions will be on Day shift with overtime available and for the right candidates may transition to permanency.  It is advantageous that the successful candidates have experience working with equipment such as truck, trailers or earth moving equipment. 

To be successful in application you will:

Be Trade Qualified
Be seeking a long-term position
Due to location and shift times have your own reliable transport
Experience with Earth Moving Equipment or Truck and Trailer advantageous
Be able to provide 2x recent work-related references
Be able to complete a weld test on site if required

Edge Personnel has partnered with an Australian Leading Manufacturer of Truck Trailers - The Drake Group.  This outstanding organisation is currently seeking a Senior Auto Electrician for their Final Fit Department.  The Drake Group has built an exceptional reputation within their industry since their inception 60 years ago by providing high quality equipment for their clients. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing team that takes the upmost pride in their work and strives to remain at the top of their field. The company is about to embark on a large scale continuous improvement production process and are seeking a candidate with experience in transitioning from electrical wiring and design to installing electrical plug and play configurations on large trailers.

The successful candidate will have experience with transitioning away from standard electrical wiring to design and installation of electrical “plug and play” systems on large trailers, Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, fault finding, 12v & 24v systems and components, schematic design, trailer EBS, have exposure to the heavy vehicle industry and possess the highest of safety standards. This will be a 50/50 split shop floor and office based role, so a strong ability to work as a part of a project team is desired.

For initial progression in your application, the following requirements are essential:

Be Trade Qualified.
Be 4 years post apprenticeship.
Have experience with CAN bus design, layout and installation.
Have experience with Truck Trailers.
Be able to provide 2x recent work-related references.

Generating billings and outgoing invoices
Following up payments with debtors

Match purchase order details to invoice details for all PO invoices
Verify that all invoices are authorised in accordance with policies
Assisting with end of month procedures and financial reporting
Accurate maintenance of the client data base.
Reconciliation of accounts
