This year, we’re celebrating a momentous
milestone – 20 years in business!

As Queensland’s pre-eminent workforce solutions provider dedicated to small and medium-sized businesses, we’re enormously proud of all we’ve achieved over the past two decades.

So much has changed since Edge Personnel was first established as an Australian-owned, Queensland-based recruitment and workforce solutions provider.

We launched in the year 2000 with a single client. That number quickly increased and within a few years our early success was recognised when we made the coveted BRW Fast 100 list of fastest growing Australian companies for three years in a row (2004-2006).

Our merger with Advanced Recruitment in 2015 was another pivotal moment as we diversified into new industries, extended our reach and increased the size of our talented team. We zoned in on Queensland small-to-medium enterprises – ‘heart and soul’ businesses just like us that shared our values.

Twenty years is an incredible achievement for any business – particularly for one operating in an industry which can be vulnerable to the ups and downs of the economy. We successfully navigated our way through the uncertainty of the Global Financial Crisis, and our longevity is testament to our integrity and resilience, as well as our friendly, driven and principled approach.

Technology has disrupted many industries and recruitment has changed dramatically as a result of key advances. In 2000, when Edge Personnel was founded, newspapers were thick with job advertisements and CVs were sent by post. Now social networking is done via the likes of LinkedIn and Facebook, CVs are emailed and you can check out online job ads on your smartphone while you sip coffee at a café.

Edge Personnel has always been an early adopter of technology, prioritising investments in databases, payroll systems and Cloud-based platforms as they became available. But when it comes to recruitment, there is a crucial element that hasn’t changed at all. The human skill of being able to connect people. To do this well, you need to love interacting with people and getting to know them.

We are passionate about people and this is evident in our team’s dedication to understanding the needs of our clients and candidates. As a trusted and reliable partner, open and honest communication is key – as is always being accountable for our work.
