Accounts Assistant - Administration

Part-Time Position, 3 Days Per Week - School Hours, Immediate start available.

Edge Personnel has the pleasure of supplying one of our Long Term Clients with a Part-Time Accounts Assistant for their office based in Ipswich. Our client is a well-established business and since inception has experienced strong continued growth within their industry sector.

Currently, our client is seeking a dedicated accounts assistant to join their accounts team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an industry leader, who has an excellent workplace culture. We are seeking a motivated individual who has a keen eye for detail, someone who has a solid understanding of the need to work as part of a small cohesive team.

Please note that this position will be between school hours 3 days per week, but can be negotiated.

Key duties within this position include:

  • Generating billings and outgoing invoices
  • Following up payments with debtors
  • Ad-hoc duties as required - such as reception fill in
  • Entering of payment batches into the software system
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of Accounts Payable details
  • Match purchase order details to invoice details for all PO invoices
  • Verify that all invoices are authorised in accordance with policies
  • Assisting with the end of month procedures and financial reporting
  • Accurate maintenance of the client database.
  • Assist with payroll
  • Reconciliation of accounts

Key Traits to be successful in application include:

  • Have experience in a similar position
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word experience
  • Excellent investigative skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Cooperative and analytical approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both Written and Verbal
  • Be able to work the dedicated 3 days per week, but seeking a full-time position in approximately 12-18 months time
  • Friendly demeanor
