Prioritising health and safety

At Edge Personnel we work closely with candidates and clients to ensure we provide a safe working environment, and we’ll never knowingly partner with any organisation that doesn’t meet Australian and Queensland legislative requirements.

Using information collated during interviews and registration, we’re meticulous in making sure we meet our client’s requirements, and we also complete comprehensive background checks – ensuring all clients meet our expectations and those of the State and Federal Governments regarding employment and safety laws.

Our team’s committed to ensuring the overall health and wellbeing of our candidates, and we ensure they’re happy with their assignments and on-site safety in a number of ways.

  • We only work with clients as committed as we are to providing a safe working environment for candidates.
  • Where required, our candidates always have suitable and safe on-site equipment to operate.
  • We ensure training, on-site inductions and supervision is always provided.
  • We assess every site and the duties each candidate will be conducting – ensuring they’re in-line with our health and safety policies and procedures, as well as that of relevant legislation.
  • During assignments, we follow up with candidates to ensure they’re happy with their role, their duties are in-line with what was promised, and they feel safe and valued on-site.

Queensland registered labour-hire providers

All labour-hire providers operating in Queensland need to be licensed under a registration scheme, and this includes interstate and overseas labour-hire providers who supply workers in Queensland.

Licence-holders are required to meet certain standards, including:

  • being a fit and proper person to supply labour
  • being financially viable
  • complying with relevant laws.

Edge Personnel has held a licence as a registered labour hire provider in Queensland since the introduction of the licence in 2018.

As a licenced company, Edge Personnel meets Queensland regulations that see our company being fit and proper to supply labour, being financially viable and complying with all relevant laws. We’re required to regularly provide updated information to the Queensland Government in order to uphold our licence – meaning clients and candidates can rest assured we’re a viable business that conforms to all relevant legislative requirements.

The Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association (RCSA) is the peak body for the recruitment and staffing industry in Australia and New Zealand. The RCSA sets the benchmark for professionalism through standard-setting, education and business advisory support to its members. All members are bound by the RCSA Code for Professional Conduct, which is underpinned by a comprehensive disciplinary and dispute resolution procedure.

As a member, Edge Personnel is bound by the RCSA Code for Professional Conduct, which requires we meet standards of personal professionalism and ensures our business runs with operational integrity. Through independent auditing against an industry-specific standard, StaffSure gives confidence to the workforce services market in Australia and New Zealand. We’re regularly audited to keep our accreditation, which means that both clients and candidates can rest knowing we’re operating in conjunction with our values and all legislative requirements.
